An Adaptation of the Prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

We the congregations of the Advocate’s Gift of Life Ministries

call on the Name of the Lord our God saying:

“Oh that you would bless this ministry indeed,

and enlarge this ministry’s territory,

that your hand would be with this ministry, and

that you would keep this ministry from evil,

that this ministry would not cause pain.”

“Oh that you would bless my home indeed,

and enlarge my home’s territory,

that your hand would be with my home, and

that you would keep my home from evil,

that my home would not cause pain.”

“Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory,

that your hand would be with me, and

that you would keep me from evil,

that I may not cause pain.

And God granted him that which he requested.” Amen
